Refund & Cancellation Policy

This policy explains how cancellation and refunds work for each of seohard's three engagement models — the SEO Audit, Retainers, and Projects — and how the EU statutory right of withdrawal applies. It supplements our Terms of Service.

Before we start work: if you cancel before we begin the analysis, you receive a full refund.

After work has started: because the Audit is a single, time-bound deliverable, once analysis work has begun the fee is no longer refundable — you will still receive the completed audit report once it's finished.

Delivery: the audit report is delivered within the timeframe stated in your order form (typically around 10 business days).

Retainers can be cancelled by either party with 30 days' written notice, effective at the end of the current calendar month. There is no cancellation fee for giving proper notice.

Fees already invoiced for the current billing month are not refundable.

Projects are billed against the milestone/deposit schedule in the statement of work. If a Client cancels a Project in progress, fees for milestones already completed are retained; amounts for milestones not yet started are refunded.

Deposits paid to secure a start date are non-refundable once work on that milestone has begun.

Under EU and German law (§ 312g BGB), a 14-day right of withdrawal from a distance contract applies to consumers. seohard's services are provided on a business-to-business (B2B) basis, so the statutory consumer withdrawal right generally does not apply to our Engagements.

If, exceptionally, an Engagement were concluded with a consumer, the standard 14-day withdrawal right would apply as required by Art. 246a EGBGB.

Approved refunds are paid to the original payment method used for the Engagement, typically within 10 business days of the refund being agreed.
